There are many ways to fulfill the words of Christ.  One of the ways you can show the love of Jesus Christ is by sponsoring a young person in the country of Haiti.  Your choice to do so will provide the following:

• Honor to our Heavenly Father
• A Christ-centered education
• A meal each school day
• An opportunity to break the cycle of poverty

We tend to think of our possessions, money and talents as exactly that, “ours.” We need to realize everything is a gift from God, and He wants us to be good stewards of what He has entrusted to us. Matthew 25 reminds us we will give an account of ourselves to God.

There is so much in our lives for which we find time and money.  Will you consider making room for a child in need?  Proverbs 19:17 says, He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward him for what he does.” Luke 11:28 says,  “Blessed are they who hear the word and obey it.”  Do you realize God’s blessings accompany obedience to His word?

So what happens if I choose to be a sponsor?
When you sponsor a child, you are providing a Christian education. In Haiti, school is a privilege, not a right. While in school, your money provides a Christian education, a uniform, books, and a meal each school day (maybe the only meal they will have that day).  You will receive an annual photo of the child, an end of the year report card, and two letters a year from your child.  You will also receive an annual letter from the school administrator..  The cost is only $25 a month.

When you support an orphan, you provide for a life altering experience. We partner with two orphanages in Haiti: Redeemer’s Child in Croix-des-Bouquet outside of Port-au-Prince and Children of the Redeemer in Batso, a village outside of St. Michel in the Central plains.  Your money provides, a loving Christian environment in which to grow, an education, meals every day, and hope for survival. The sponsorship cost for Redeemer’s Child is $125 each month and for Children of the Redeemer it is $100 each month. Shared sponsorships are available for both orphanages.

Because volunteers mostly do the administration in the U.S, 85% of the funds for both child and orphan sponsorship go to Haiti where they are used for the well being of the children.
