Work on the second floor of the Ark was started in October 2007 and continues in 2008.

So far we have removed two unused chimneys. In the dining rooms this has opened up a small amount of additional space.

Upstairs the removal of the chimneys has allowed us to add one additional bathroom to a room that had none.

We have also made provision for a later phase of renovations on the first floor of the Ark.

A look at a completed A23 with new beds, chair rail, sheet rock, paint, beds, and a new small bathroom where a chimney was removed.

So far we have completed work in 5 Ark Rooms, started work in two others, and replaced beds in all of the rooms.

Rooms A28 & A29 used to share a closet bathroom. Work is now underway so each will have it’s own complete bathroom.

In the midst of the renovations we also replaced the two main filters on our indoor pool which will dramatically enhance the filtration.

Progress in A28. Though much is left to do, soon paint will be covering these wall and a new bathroom will be functional.

The new bathroom in A28 is coming along. Each bathroom we have renovated has a new tile floor, a floor drain, and special wall covering known as FRP.
